In a significant leap in mobile technology, MediaTek introduces the Dimensity 9300, an all-new flagship mobile chip. This innovative chipset boasts an exclusive All Big Core design, promising groundbreaking experiences in gaming, video capture, and on-device generative AI processing while maintaining excellent power efficiency.

Joe Chen, President at MediaTek, describes the Dimensity 9300 as the most potent flagship chip, poised to elevate smartphone computing capabilities with its unique architecture and enhanced on-chip AI Processing Unit. This chipset represents a new era in generative AI applications, powered by edge AI and hybrid AI computing capabilities.

Enhanced generative AI performance is achieved through the integration of MediaTek’s next-generation APU 790 AI processor into the Dimensity 9300. This processor significantly improves AI performance and energy efficiency, doubling the integer and floating-point operations performance while reducing power consumption by 45%. With an accelerated processing speed of 8 times compared to the previous generation, the APU 790 opens doors for rapid image generation. MediaTek’s innovative technologies further reduce memory requirements for large AI models.

The Dimensity 9300’s GPU, Arm Immortalis-G720, provides an almost 46% boost in GPU performance while maintaining the same power consumption as its predecessor, Dimensity 9200. Additionally, it reduces GPU power consumption by 40% while maintaining the previous generation’s performance levels. This impressive combination guarantees an exceptional gaming experience, allowing users to multitask seamlessly.

This chipset redefines mobile photography and video capture, offering always-on HDR up to 4K resolution at 60 fps and supporting cinematic mode with real-time bokeh tracking and AI noise reduction. It also introduces Ultra HDR compatibility, a significant advancement in mobile photography. The Dimensity 9300 ensures vibrant photos that are compatible with the widely supported JPEG format.

The chipset’s display system, coupled with MediaTek’s MiraVision Picture Quality (PQ) engine, enhances image quality, providing a lifelike viewing experience comparable to flagship DTVs. The Dimensity 9300 focuses on user experience by supporting Wi-Fi 7 speeds up to 6.5 Gbps and improving smartphone tethering speeds with Multi-Link Hotspot technology.
